Starbucks News: Price Increase starting Oct 3!

For all you coffee drinkers out there, did you hear the shocking news? Get ready, starting October 3rd, you need to dig alittle deeper in your pocket, or your wallet for that extra nickle if you're planning to buy a latte, cappucino, drip coffee, or other drink that day. As if it isn't pricey enough, now they have to raised it by 5 cents, booooo! What next? In another two years, do I have to see a Tall (small) latte at almost 5 buck??? Is it worth it? Sigh, I guess I have to give up my frappuccino if it goes up again in another next two years... According to Valerie O'Neil, a spokewoman of Starbucks Corps., said that"...the company decided to charge more because costs, including fuel and energy, are going up." She goes on to says, “It’s not one specific thing. It’s part of our ongoing evaluation of business costs. Starbucks’ pricing varies based on the market, but the 5-cent price increase will be across the board, regardless of drink or part of the country."(Associated Press, 2006)
