2007 Stanley Champions: Congratulation to Anaheim Ducks!!

Congratulation to the Ducks for playing a great game against the Senators. They had played a better game than the Sens, beating them 6-2 in game five and taking the series 4-1 in the Stanley Cup final. It's sad that no Canadian teams have won the cup since the late 90's. Ottawa looked like a great team going into this round, but the Ducks were just a better team as they put a lots of pressure on them in the get go and never look back.

Is any Canadians team gotta win the Stanley cup soon before 2010? The only three Canadian teams left that haven't a crack at the Stanley Cup final are the Vancouver Canucks, Montreal Canadiens, and the Toronto Maple Leafs. Will the cup finds it way back home next year?

I guess we will find out next fall when we start over again to see who will reign supreme in the quest for Lord Stanley. Until then!

Survivor Cook Island: Yul is the winner!

It cames down to one vote between either Yul or Ozzy, but Yul had prevailed. Congratulation to Yul(left) for winning the millions! Ozzy played an awesome game as well, winning many ammunity challenges.

Summary of Yesterday Final Epsiode:

Final Four Forever

The Aitu Four return to camp, squealing and rejoicing. They savor the victorious moment for the small tribe that fought its way to this point of the game. A reflective and proud Yul states, "I am so glad that the winner of Survivor is going to be from a minority community. I think it speaks volumes, that often times the strongest teams are the ones that have a diversity of perspectives and backgrounds. And the fact that we were able to bond so tightly together and really kind of succeed under very long odds is a great morality tale."

Rites of Passage
On Day 38, Ozzy wakes up early to watch the sunrise and reflect on his experience. Realizing the importance of his feat, Ozzy acknowledges that he must focus and win. Treemail arrives, informing the group that they will do the Rites of Passage ceremony together. Excited to share this moment with her friends and tribemates, Becky says, "Today's Treemail indicated that the Aitu Four are going to be able to actually go through the Rites of Passage together. It's pretty exciting because I think typically three people go through that by themselves. And for the Aitu Four to be able to remember everyone in this game, I think that's something really special for us to do." The tribemates paddle out to a beautiful hilltop location that overlooks the islands. They reflect upon the people that went through the experience of the game with them, igniting the torches of their fallen comrades on an altar.

Immunity Challenge: Self Destruction
When the four remaining members of the Aitutonga tribe arrive at the final Immunity Challenge, they're ready to compete. Jeff Probst explains that the tribe members will be standing on a small steel perch situated in the water. Each perch has been individually proportioned to each tribe member's foot size, making the game as fair as possible. Every 15 minutes tribe members will remove a section of the perch, making it smaller and more difficult to stand on. The last piece of the perch will be a section that is less than half the size of a postcard. The last person left standing wins Immunity. Jeff then adds that this would earn the winner a guaranteed spot in the final three and, in a twist, the final three will go to the last Tribal Council.

The four remaining competitors stand on their individual perches, looking determined. After 15 minutes, the first section of the perch is removed. With no signs of struggle, 30 minutes pass and the second section of perch is removed. After 45 minutes, the third section is removed and Becky immediately loses her footing, falling into the water below. After an hour has passed, the three remaining competitors remove the fourth section and they are left standing on a very small section of the perch. Yul stays crouched down with a low center of gravity, while Sundra struggles as she stands with one foot completely on the perch and the other foot slightly resting on the perch. Going numb from his crouching position, Yul attempts to stand up and falls into the cold water below. After two and a half hours, both Sundra and Ozzy fight to keep their balance. Eventually, Sundra loses the battle and falls into the water, leaving Ozzy with Immunity.

Fair Play
Ozzy, Yul, Becky and Sundra return to camp. Ozzy congratulates Sundra on her performance in the challenge. Safe from the impending vote, Ozzy and Yul discuss how the vote should go. Ozzy tells Yul that he thinks the fair way to proceed is to have a tiebreaker challenge. Then Yul and Becky converse under the shelter. Motivated by his close friendship with Becky, Yul offers her the idol.

Later, Ozzy tells Sundra and Becky that he feels the tiebreaker is the fair way to handle the remainder of the game. Sundra corners Yul, asking him if Becky has requested the idol from him. Yul denies it. But Yul later confides, "I've had to make so many compromises and broken so many promises. But the one thing I've always kind of stayed true to is my friendship with Becky. So to continue honoring that, I feel I might have to give her the idol. It's a tough, tough decision and I hope to God things just work out."

Tie Breaker Tribal
The Aitu Four arrive at Tribal Council stating that the vote will handled the way they have handled themselves in the game: fairly and honorably. The vote will end in a tie. Becky and Sundra must compete for a spot in the final three. Given only flint, steel, coconut husk and a small box of wood, they must build a fire big enough to burn through a rope, which will ring a bell. After thirty minutes of attempting to make fire, the jury starts to look bored, as both Sundra and Becky get nothing more than a spark. After an hour, the jury starts to yawn, Ozzy and Yul look horrified and Becky starts to sweat. Jeff announces that they will now use matches. After, many attempts and some small successes, the girls continue to fail.

After an hour and a half, an exasperated Probst comments that, "After 38 days out here, you should both know how to make fire." Then, Sundra runs out of matches and sits helplessly watching as Becky finally gets a fire big enough to burn through the rope and ring the bell. As Sundra leaves, she says, "The fact that I even made it this far has just ignited so many things in me. And I'm so proud and I gave it my all like I did everything else. And Becky, Yul, and Ozzy--one of you is going to win a million and you're takin' me out to dinner."

Final Feast
On Day 39, the final three awaken early, toast coconuts and watch the sunrise together. Ozzy summons Yul to the beach as two native women paddle up in an outrigger with a final feast. Ozzy and Yul yell for Becky, who is on a distant section of the beach. The three sit and reflect on their game play and their strategy for appealing to the jurors.

Yul states that friendships are worth more than a million dollars and his friendship with Becky is rare. Ozzy reflects, "I'm just hoping final Tribal goes really well. I'm hoping to get my point across. I've got a lot of pride and I feel like I'm representing Mexico. I've broken a lot of stereotypes. I'm a surfer up against two lawyers. Hopefully my actions, my intentions and everything I've done in this game speak for themselves. All I've got to do is hold it together one more night and finally this dream may take a step into reality."

Final Tribal
As the final three take a seat at Tribal Council, the Jury assembles to ask the questions that will help them make their decision. After the opening statements, each Jury member has an opportunity to ask the final three players some questions about their game play. Yul emphasizes his influence over the overall game, bringing the Aitu tribe to the final four as promised. Becky believes that her strategy was a social game. Ozzy tells the jury that he was the underdog through the entire game; he embraced the game and played as hard as he could to get to this point.

After the questions were complete, the Jury cast their final votes. In a stunning 5 to 4 vote, an overjoyed Yul was awarded the million dollar prize and title of Sole Survivor of SURVIVOR: COOK ISLANDS.

Count down: 11 more days until Christmas!

It's getting close to Christmas. Just 11 more days to go, and voila, Christmas will be here. I can't believe how fast it is. I am still not done christmas shopping yet. I still have three more people to shop for. It is so hard to shop for my parent, sister, and friends. I should just give them gift cards, and that is it. This way, less headache, and sore feet.
Hehe, I like how the radio stations are playing lots of christmas songs now...This is when you know, it getting close the christmas holiday.

If you haven't seen the movie "Happy Feet," go see it because it's worth it. The movie is really cute and funny. I would recommending watching it in the Imax theatre, because seeing it in 3-D will be awesome. This movie isn't just for kids, but for all adult who are still kids at heart. Mumble, the blue eyes penguin, will amazed you with his tapping feet.

Mid November

It has been awhile since I have updated. Ten more days before my birthday, yay!! Hopefully, I have a good birthday this year! Last year's birthday went well. I had a great time! My friends was able to celebrated my birthday with me. They took me out for hotpot and to watch "The 40 years old Virgin." That was a hilarious movie. Also, my sister was great too..She got me a great gift, a new ipod nano, and dinner to Red Lobster which I was really appreciative about. Thanks!

Tommorrow, I'm going to the Saddledome to watch the Flames takes on the Wings. It's my first game this season. Let's keep this hot streaks going! Last year, at this time, I watch three games with my friends, and one game near the end of the season. My friends and I was thinking of getting tickets for Dec 31 against the Oilers. Hopefully, we can get the tickets. The battle of Alberta always sell out fast.

I hate my bang!

For the past month, my long bangs has been driving me nut! It's too short to pulled back into a ponytail, but it was too long to let it hang down. My bangs bothered me because it was alway poking me in the eyes.I'd tried curling my bang in so it shouldn't poke into my eyes, but it just look dumb, and clipping it will look even dumber on me..I wanted to grow it long. But at this stage, I am just too impatient to wait any longer and be tortue like this. So in my head, 'I am what the heck, I am going to give it a trim, it can't looks any worse than the time my lil's sis cut it'. Quickly, I ran upstairs to my mom's room and pulled out her haircutting scissor. Then, I went downstair, grabbed some newspapers, and proceed to the bathroom. I turned on the sink, wet my bang and spread some newspapers over the sink. Grabbing the scissor, I started trimming the right corner, and working my way to the left corner while looking into the mirror...The first trim was still too long, so I start trimming again. The next thing I knew, some excess hairs had gone into my left eyes..arrgh, I could feel the irritiating and burning sensation. I took my left contact len out, but still more hairs was left stuck in the left corner of eyes...I dabbed a wet tissue, and try to get it out., but it didn't work :o( By that time, my left eyes was very uncomfortable, it was twitching, and I had to close my eyelid to reduce the irritation ..Quickly, I ran to the kitchen, and grabbed a big bowl, and poured water in it (mom was giving me a weird look). Then, I sticked my whole face, and eyes into the water. Damn, nothing happen..I didn't get it out. My mom took pity on me, and eventually help me pulled out the hairs out of my eyes...The pains I have to suffer!

Lesson learned: "Go to a salon and get it professional cut or else suffer the consequence!"

You know what I don't understand? How come our Thankgiving is in October, while the American has it in November? Can someone tell me, I am curious to know? What is the history behind it anyway??

:o( I heard the Flames lost...not surprising consider their lack of offences. If they want to be successful this year, they better improve their offences, especially in their powerplay chances..When you have 2 five on three, you need to capitalize period! No wonder the fans booo! Why can't they buried the damn puck!!! Shoot mooooore, screen the goalie, and bang away like any other teams. In the four games road trip, they better get as much points as possible: either through wins, OT win/loss, or SO win/loss.

Home Opener: Calgary Flames defeated Edmonton Oilers!

Last night, The Flames won 2-1, after a nail bitting ending in the last minute of the third period. Although their powerplay sucks, 0-15 in the two games, they had more scoring chances unlike thursday which they played stupid. They moved the puck a lots better last night, and came close to scoring at least 4 powerplay goals if only they could tap it in in the second period. On Monday night, they better score their first powerplay goal and get some more offences. Watching them win a close game was nerve wrecking. I like to see them win by more than two goals, at least that way I am not freaking out in the third period... Kipper can't steal all the games every night. Iginla's line better score more, especially like the new acquires Alex Tanguay. He's the second highest pay player in the team and has nothing to show yet except the one assist. Hopefully tommorrow night, it is night to shine in the offence department!

For all you coffee drinkers out there, did you hear the shocking news? Get ready, starting October 3rd, you need to dig alittle deeper in your pocket, or your wallet for that extra nickle if you're planning to buy a latte, cappucino, drip coffee, or other drink that day. As if it isn't pricey enough, now they have to raised it by 5 cents, booooo! What next? In another two years, do I have to see a Tall (small) latte at almost 5 buck??? Is it worth it? Sigh, I guess I have to give up my frappuccino if it goes up again in another next two years... According to Valerie O'Neil, a spokewoman of Starbucks Corps., said that"...the company decided to charge more because costs, including fuel and energy, are going up." She goes on to says, “It’s not one specific thing. It’s part of our ongoing evaluation of business costs. Starbucks’ pricing varies based on the market, but the 5-cent price increase will be across the board, regardless of drink or part of the country."(Associated Press, 2006)

Big Brother All Star: Boogie is the big winner!

Aw, I didn't get a chance to watch the last epsiode of Big Brother All Star finale this tuesday. But I just check out the cbs site, and wasn't surprised when I saw Boggie, from Chilltown, whipped Erika's butt 6-1 from the jurors' vote. One Marcelas vote for Erika. I didn't think neither deserve to win, but from the start, Boogie and Will formed "Chill town" and started messing people's minds and making them turned on each other. Hehe, it was funny watching Boogie and Will doing wacky stuffs together. They're alway doing something amusing, or saying something funny. Well, that wrapped up Big Brother until this coming summer.

There are so many new shows on, reality shows, and returning shows...Also, hockey season is close by...Calgary's Flames pre-season start this sunday when they host Florida Panthers. Learning how to create a template

It's so much fun learning how to creates a more unique template for your blog. I find it so addicting! Before, when I first started in June, I didn't know anything about blogging or making your own template. But now, I've learned how to create a blog through tutorial's blog. So far, I learned how to change my background, border head, and implementing coding for a drop down link, adding a clock, and statcounter. I didn't like the template selections from bloggers, so I tried to search for better one. At one point, I liked the tropical dream template, but the stupid flowers that were suppose to appeared on the bottom left corner, and top right hand corner never did appeared. So I added my own border and side border. The side border had butterflies going down, and the border had fairies. At the moment, I like this one because its separate the sidebar from the body. The other one I had was too close together that the writing inside the body section was overlapping the right sidebar.

I didn't do too much on the long weekend. On saturday, I went to Prairie Winds tennis court to played tennis with my friend. The first half of the hour, we just practiced hitting the tennis ball against this board that they'd mounted to the back of the tennis court's fence. I kept hitting it too high, and it sailed over to the tennis court where a bunch of guys were playing. One of the guys threw the ball over the fence so I didn't have to worry about walking around and retrieving it. Eh, they didn't look too mad that I kept hitting it over. I did apologized. After practicing hitting against the board for some time, we went into the tennis court and played. Neither of us were really good, we didn't establish a consistent hitting rthymn. I only counted 5 times that we had hit it back and worth consecutively. We still need more practices in order to be as good as the guys playing on either sides of us.

Afterward, we went to Sunridge Mall to grabbed some KFC to eat and went shopping after. Hmm, I love KFC chickens, and their hot wings. We wandered around the mall, but I couldn't find anything to buy :o( I couldn't find anything I like. When I tried on some of the shirts that I did like, it didn't look flattening on me...

Sunday- What did I do on Sunday??? Don't remember right off as I write this.

Monday- Bummed around the house, did some laundry and folding it. Afterward, surf the net in youtube to find Anne of Green Gables movies. I end up watching most of the first and second instalment. For some reason, going through a crazy phase of watching old childhood classic movies, and reading it...It was cute movies to watch.. The actors that played Anne Shirley and Gilbert Blythe are Megan Follows and Jonathan Crombie. I like how they act in the movie. :oP

Saturday-
Two of my friends and I went to checked out the finale firework at 9:00pm. It was pretty nice watching it from the inside of Ellison Park rather than from the outside. Last year, I had to work in the evening so I was unable to attended. The firework was cool, I especially like the horizontal waterfall firework..that was awesome. The waterfall seems to last forever, but technically it was more like 2 minutes. We sat on a grassy slope with everyone else overlooking the lake, listening to the music as one after another firework went up into the sky. The firework last about 45minutes. Traffic wasn't bad compared to the last three years. I think it helped that there was more police regulating the traffic flow, and that there was two additional lanes needed going both way, so that traffic doesn't get backup. The first two years traffic was horrific, I didn't get home until two hours after the firework was done...

Sunday
I went to celebrated my friend's 25th birthday. At 1pm, everyone meet up, and drove to Pebble Beach for some fun in the sun, playing miniature golf. There was quite abit of people there. Half of the people were practicing their golf swing on one side of the course, and the another half were playing miniature golf. The miniature golf had 18 golf courses section. We had to followed the order of the sequence. We were behind this slow group. Half the time, we ended up sitting on the bench, talking, and waiting for 5-7minutes for them to finished so we can go. We were there for about at an hour. It was 3:05pm when we finished. After, we went to DQ for some blizzard, and dipped ice cream cone...I like the dipped chocolate on the ice cream, especially when it's hard and crunchy... Around 6pm, we went for dinner at Montana. There seem to be lots of people there having their birthday. One of the embarassing birthday ritual there is that, the waitresses or waiters hit bring a big elk horn shaped hat for you to wear on the head. They would bring a slice of cake with candle, and then ring a bell to get everyone attention, and tell everyone that someone (name) has a birthday, and became to serenade you with a birthday song while putting a big, elk horn on your head. We were planning on letting the waitress that it was Helda's birthday...hehe, but she threatened us, so we didn't.

Once dinner was done, we sat around restaurant benches just to let our food digest, and talk. Around 7:05, we went to Sunridge Spectrum to catch Snakes on the Plane. Eh, I didnt realize that every part of a person's anatomy were bitten by the snakes. It was funny. Before going, I thought the movie was pretty lame, but it was pretty amusing to watch, even though the plot was kinda lacking.

I am going to be watching the finale firework with my friends tommorrow. Hopefully, it is as nice as I heard of the other countries that was done. I heard that Hong Kong was amazing, and beautiful yesterday. I haven't been given the opportunity to check out any of the fireworks so far. Tuesday was Canada, but I haven't heard if we did great or not. I wonder if Hong Kong would be the defending champ again?

Sunday- I am going to be celebrating my friend's 25th birthday. We are going to take her miniature golfing, dinner, and a movie if time permit. It's be fun! Update of how it goes after.

Poker is my new hobby at the moment, all my sister's fault.. I can't believe you got me addicted to it! :oP Don't worry, this is just a temporary thing before something else hold my interest. Gambling is bad! hehe, that is why I stay away from Casino. Playing with your friends once in awhile is fine..but at least you only lose $5 out of your pocket rather then god know what in the Casino!

Okay, I need to learn some tips and rules of playing poker. Hehe, I didn't realize I would be so addicted to it. Now, I understand why people play it, but why must the people play it for money, and not just for the fun of it?? Ever since I played with my sister and her friends two times, I have been hooked. I need to familarize myself with the ranking of the hands...For some reason, I still confused with the cards ranking, and all the rules... It's a good thing I have the World Series of Poker Rules and Tips, a small manual booklet, that comes with the poker chips to help me out. This is for my benefit, and to whoever want to learn it.

Tips and Rules for Poker Dummies:

Ranking of the Hand

Royal Flush: 10, J, Q, K, Ace of the SAME suit.
Straight Flush: Straight (see #6 below) with ALL FIVE cards in the SAME suit.
Four of a Kind: Four cars of the same rank.
Full House: Three of a kind plus a pair.
Flush: Five cards of the same suit. If there is more than one flush, the hand with the highest card(s) wins.
Straight: Five cards in sequence. Cards can be in any suit. An Ace can be used in the highest straight(10,J,Q,K,A) and the lowest straight(A,2,3,4,5)
Three of a Kinds: Three cards of the same rank.
Two pair: Two cards of the same rank plus two other cards of a different rank ( eg: AA, 88).
One pair: Two card of the same rank
High Card(s): The cardesst card or cards.

TIPS
1. If you are dealt strong pocket cards, bet and raise, if possible before the flop. This grows the pot and encourages weak hands to fold. There is nothing more frustrating than getting burned by someone who should have folded but was given a free ride.

2. If you are dealt low card of different suits that are unconnected, fold the hand unless it is very cheap to stay in.

3. Don't get too excited if you have a good hand using cards in the flop. Remember that there are probably other good hands using those same cards.

4. If you are dealth a low pair, be careful. Fold the hand unless it is very cheap to stay in.

5. Bet if the flop is unpromising and you have the ace. Be careful, however, if someone raises.

6. Watch for straight and flush possibilites. The use of community cards make these hands more frequent.

7. Consider all the possibilites of your hand, but don't waste time and money on long shots.

8. Learn to spot the signs of bluffing. A change in a player's demeanor usually indicates a bluff. Be careful though, good players will put on an act to throw you off. Learn to do the same yourself.

9. Early in the game, getting caught on a bluff is not necessarily bad. This can put in the minds of the other players that you are a bluffer. They will continue to call with losing hands, just to avoid being suckered.

10. Watch the other players, even if you are out of the hand. Look for clues as to the strength of their hands and their propensity to bluff.

11. Don't fall into patterns of betting. Make occasional outrageous plays. This will confuse your opponents.

12. Don't get too optimistic on a winning streak. Reckless betting can cause your winnings to evaporate quickly. :o(

Okay, no more lame horror movies for me. Next time my friends ask me to go, I will have to put my foot down and say "no." So far, all the horror and glory movies that I'd seen are dumb. I haven't seen any that is "actually" scary. The last one was so long ago, "Sixth Sense." Now, the scary movies I watch are dumb and unrealistic. The sound effect, and props are not scary at all. "Pulse," the movie that just came out last friday sucks! I didn't particularly enjoyed it, the "ghost" was not even scary, and have me rolling my eyes in most of the scenes. I didn't like how it ended, seem abit abrupt. What a waste of my money, and leave me unsatisfied! Every scary movies seems to followed almost the same patterns, not really original! So, I am going to stick to my action and comedy movies which I thinkl is so much better.

Step Up
Sigh...thought this movie would be good, but the acting is cheesy and bad. If you plan to watch this movie, the only good thing about it is the dancing part, and their music. Other than that, don't watch it at all! Tanning Tatum was bad in this movie, well at least his acting skill was. He was lots better in She's a Man. I think he should just stick to romantic comedy :-}

Any Prison Break show fans out there? Don't forget to watch it on Monday the 21th, it's going to be a good one. Evil producer end the season one with a cliff hanger. The show is so addicting. I wonder if Michael and the other inmates are able to escape the prison ground? Who knows, we'll find out in 9 days. Check out Wentworth Miller with more hairs, before his Prison Break day. I looks good both way.

Don't let your family's member cut your hair!

During the long weekend, Monday to be exact, I got my mom to cut my hairs. I guess I had it coming since I was too lazy to go to an actual hair salon. Eh, I don't know what I was thinking letting my mom cut my hair, even though she'd haircutting experience in her younger day. She didn't listen to a word I said. I told her to cut 3inches off, and give me alittle layers...snip, snip** inches by inches my hairs got shorter. My hairs used to be halfway down by back. Now, it's shoulder length :o( Not only was it short to my dislike, but I didn't like how she layers it. My top half of my hairs was thick, and voluminous, and the longer half just hang there..My bangs was weird, it was uneven length. I had to get it trimmed because it was getting too long, and was always getting into my eyes. Eh, I still don't like my haircut really much. When I walked into the bathroom and saw my haircut, I was pretty vocal voicing my dislike..Oh well, it's my fault that I got myself into this predicament. The good sides to this is that my hairs grow back really fast, another 2 months it will be longer.

Eh, never get your sister to cut your bang! You think I would've learn from that past mistake, but no! That was like about three months ago when I got my sister to cut it. My bangs was really bugging me, it was tooooo long and it hurts my eyes because it was alway poking into it.. I hate it when my bang is too short to pulled back, but too long to leave it as it is. I didn't want to clip it to the side because it would look dumb on me. For some reason, I didn't want to cut my own bang..maybe I should have instead of her. She cut it too short.. She blamed it on my not sitting straight, and having my head down..sure sure. It was so high up on my foreword. Eh, the next day when I went to work, the co-worker I was working that day with laughed. I was so embarassed. What can I do, but joined her and explained to her how it came about. Too bad I couldn't wear a cap, not allow though. I guess I had that coming too, my fault really. I shouldn't have gotten my sister to cut it, with her amateur hand at that, but to get a real professional!

Too bad Calgary didn't get a chance to roast the ducks during their playoff run. Obviously, their offence was lacking last season which result in the consecutive losses in Game 6 and 7. Today, I received an email back from my friend who is vacationing with her family in Vietnam. They left Calgary 12 days ago and will be back in early September. So far, she seems to be having a great time there. Pretty soon, she and her family are heading to Bangok. Sounds like fun. The first day she got there, she and her family went for the authentic sate beef pho..hmm, noodle..I wonder how it taste, better or not than Calgary? Eh, I told her to take a picture of it for me. Before she left, she make her mom took her female friends' measurement for the Ao dai. Her aunt who own a clothing store there is going to make us the Ao dai. I told her I don't need one, much less wear one. Eh, I'm not even Vietnamese, but she insisted. So, I guess I just go along with it. Will I eventually wear it, whose know? She's even going to make a guy style's Ao dai for her boyfriend even though he's white. Lol, it was so funny when she made her mom took the measurement for him with all the girls watching, and listening. He's a tall, big guy. Apparently, he was embarrassed because he told her mom he wanted her to take his measurement upstairs so we couldn't hear. His girlfriend like, "no, don't wasting time." Her mom would take the measurement and make him read the number out loud and pretend she couldn't see the number. Hehe, we all have good laughed at his expense..I think he was more embarassed than mad.

In today's email, my friend wanted me to pick a style, and pattern for the Ao Dai from this website (http://aodaivinh.com) she send me. But I am stuck between this two Ao Dai that I like: the modern vs the traditional version? I told her I want something simple, not too flowery or busy. The colors I like a pale color, not bright. Either light blue, light green or light pink.

Sweet Chili Chicken wings-Yum Yum

I love chicken wings!!! Hehe, notice my emphasis? Here is a recipe for Sweet Chilli chicken wings from my sister's book, "Cooking-A commonsense Guide." Hehe, enjoys!

Preparation time: 30mins + overnight marninating
Ingredients Needed:
-2kg (4lbs) chicken wings
-2 cloves garlic, crushed
-1/4 tsp salt -1 tsp ground black pepper
-1 tbsp oil -1/4 cup (60ml/ 2 fl oz) swheet chilli sauce
-1 tbsp honey
-1 tbsp white vinegar
-1/4 cup (60ml/ 2 fl oz) soy sauce
-2 tsp grated ginger
1-tbsp soft brown sugar

Steps:
1. trim the chicken excess fat and sinew. Cut each wing into 3 sections, discarding the tips.

2. Mix together the remaining ingredients in a large bowl. Add the chicken pieces and stir until coated. Cover it and refrigerate overnight (or for several hours)

3. Preheat oven 180 degree celsius or 350 degree Fahreit. Drain the chicken pieces and reserve the marinade. Place the chicken pieces on a roasting rack over a baking tray or in a deep baking dish. Bake for 1 hour, or until the chicken is crisp and cooked through. Brush the pieces with the reserved marinade several times during cooking. Serve hot.

This is my all time favorite cookies since I was a little kid. My grade three teacher used to bring us this cookies and slices of granny apple to eat. Every cookies that I had tried ever since pale in comparison to this cookies. Finding this recipe was a lengthy process. I asked around, and even check in the internet, but to no availed. Finally, three years ago I got the recipe from a school friend, Janelle. Guess what? It's still taste as good as before. I am going to share this recipe with all of you. It doesn't take too long to make and extremely easy. Enjoys!

Cracker Jack Cookies
2/3 cup- oil
1 cup- brown sugar
1/2 cup-white sugar
2- eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
1 and 1/2 cups-flour
1 tsp.- baking powder
1 tsp. -baking soda
2 cups- oatmeal
2 cups rice krispies

Blend well. Bake at 350 degree for 10-12 minutes

SUMMARY

In last week espiode, the finalists learned some important life lessons, which was how to smile using only their eyes. They had to convey their facial expession from sad to angry in ten easy steps. Most importanly, they had to learned how to act like cats.

Brandi, was crowned champion in the photo challenge and received "winning" advice from Jay Manuel (America's Next Top Model judge). His advice to her was to be modest.

In the end, Ylenia got send home. The reason? The judges love her, but said her bone structure in the photograph made her look too old for a youth focused industry like fashion.

Some bitchy lady called today at our house. My mom answered the phone, and thought she said my "friend" instead of "fence" so she handed the phone over to me. I picked up the phone, and said hi. Whoa! What a wacko, catty woman she was! With lot of attitude, she said, "GET YOUR F****** CAT OUT OF MY FENCE!" I can imagine, in some other world

Fishing at the Lake

Yesterday, I went fishing with my sister and her bf at the lake near our house. Less than a minute in, she caught her trout. This was her second trouts she caught in less than a week span. Well done, lil' sis, you're a good fisherwoman!!! I sure suck at casting the fishing rod line into the water. With my poor attempt, no wonder I didn't catch anything. Why can't I be good at something? Sighh......About two hour later, after we couldn't catch any more fishes, we went home. Mom helped us clean the fish, and I fried it in a pan for us to eat. The fish taste alright, kinda bland, and abit dry though.

This puppy is so cute. It's so small, fluffy, and soft looking. Who wouldn't want a puppy as adorable as that?? If only my sister and I can have one. My parent won't let us have any animals in the house. She's afraid the dog will messed up the house, and that we'll neglect our responsibilities. We used to have my dad's attacking fishes, but that doesn't count as a pet. Having a puppy as cute as him would be big responsibility. All of us work, so we won't be able to take care of it like we wanted to...There are the task of training, and walking your dog. Also, you have to take it to see a vet, feeding, playing, and so forth. It is pretty much like taking care of a a baby...hehe, I just want to play with the puppy and hold it.

I wonder what type of puppy it is in the pictures?

It's official, The Carolina Hurricanes is the 2006 Stanley Cup Champion! Edmonton went in defeat 3-1 to Carolina last night, and goes home empty-handed. This is the second times in a row that an Eastern Conference team had defeat a Western Conference team. With Edmonton's lost, Calgarians will not have to endure bragging rights from the Edmonton fans (I am glad about that!) If they had won, we wouldn't be able to contain them. I have to give the Oilers some credits, they played pretty good. They fought back, and made a series out of it when they were down 3-1, and tied it and take it to game 7. It was abit sad to see them lose; seeing their downcast, and teary eyes expression so like the Calgary Flames two years ago. The last time the Cup was in Canadian's soil was back in 1993 when the Montreal Canadien had won. With any luck, next year would be the year to erase this setback, and to brings the Cup back to Canadian soils where it belongs.

MY FASCINATION WITH HORSES

Wow, isn't these drawing fantastic? It wasn't done by me, I wish I can draw as well as that.

I can draw about average since I took art as an option in high school, but I am not as talented enough to draw like that. I found the two sketches above from google search engine when I was browsing for horse pictures. The artists who did those are really talented. I am so amazed by their abilities to capture the realism of it. I like the details, shading, and the expression of the horses. I love it!

My horse fascination started when I was in elementary school. I believe I was in grade 5, and my teacher, Miss Weiss, told us we were going on a camping trip for a whole week. I remembered being so happy because it was my first trip away from home, and I was going to experience everything at the camp. The camp was called, "Camp Chief Hector." Rather than staying in a cabin, the students get to sleep in tepees. I thought it was pretty cool, because it felt so western, and backward...I had lots of fun there. I remembered we did lots of hiking, playing animal games, dodge ball outside, crafts, other sign up activities, lots of eating, and singing around the fireplace. I think being on a horse was my memorable moment because I remembered dropping the rein, and getting lost from my group. I almost didn't want to sign up for the riding lesson, but I got talk into by a friend. At the time, I rather learn about to ice skate, than ride a horse. The riding lesson was lots of fun. The horse that I was on was named Tina. She was a big, and midnight black color horse. I don't remember what breed of horse she was. The lady instructor showed us how to brush your horse properly, put the saddle on, mounted on your horse, and placed your feet in the stirrup. After, she showed us how to hold the reins, and direct your horse to turn, gallop, and stop the horse. When the lecture was done, we went off on a narrow trail. I was the last person in the line. I accidentally dropped the reins, and in the process I was left further behind in the group. I don't remember why I didn't called out...it was stupid of me. I didn't want to get off the horse, and had the horse ran off. So, I waited, and waited until somebody came by and passed picked up the rein for me. Eventually, I was able to find my way back to camp. I was so relief after. :o)
